Practice Areas
Carl Reynolds Law specializes in Personal Injury law. We handle claims arising out of auto accidents such as car accidents. However, this is not the only area we cover; we handle cases of slip and fall, dog bites, motorcycle accidents and wrongful death.
Auto Accident
According to statistics from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, on average there
are more than 700 vehicle accidents on Florida streets and highways every day. That is more than 250,000
per year! The result of these accidents is staggering. More than 3,000 people are killed and more than
200,000 are seriously injured every year in vehicle accidents in Florida.
Mounting medical bills and lost wages can be overwhelming, and trying to understand the Florida No-Fault Law can be very confusing. We understand the tactics employed by the insurance companies to minimize your injuries and your compensation. We know how "no fault" insurance works in Florida and the options available to you in cases involving uninsured and underinsured motorists. We seek confirmation of coverage insurers aren't always willing to identify.
Auto accidents account for over 90% of all vehicle accidents in Florida. A moment of carelessness or distraction behind the wheel of a car can forever change the lives of innocent victims. Even at low speeds, a collision can cause very serious injury and dramatically alter someone's life.
Alcohol related crashes result in more than 22,000 accidents and more than 1,200 deaths annually. DUI is a serious crime.
Many drivers fail to renew or keep up with their insurance payments and thus, drive without insurance. When involved in an accident, many of them are tempted to flee the scene to avoid liability, heavy fines or jail. Hit-and-run accidents occur more than 3,300 times per year in Florida.
Carl Reynolds Law aggressively represents clients injured by those who have been negligent and caused the injuries sustained. We are experienced in dealing with drunk driver cases and with those that are underinsured. As always, there are no attorney fees or costs unless we obtain recovery for you.
Slip and Fall
Property owners have the obligation to adequately maintain their property in a manner that makes it reasonbly
safe for the public. As one who is a "public invitee", (meaning that you are invited in to buy or shop or
partake of the services being offered in the business), you have the right to expect safe conditions. When
the business fails to provide safe conditions and someone gets hurt, the business can be held liable for those
injuries and damages.
Falls on slick surfaces or tripping over misplaced items in shopping isles can cause painful injuries. A fall down poorly maintained or damaged steps can result in broken bones and head injuries. Who will pay the medical bills and lost wages if necessary?
Premises liability is a complicated area of law. Florida law requires that people who are injured on someone else's property have the burden of proving that the injury was the result of negligence. At Carl Reynolds Law we are dedicated to protecting the rights of injured people. If you or a loved one has been injured through the negligence of another, contact our office immediately so that our investigation can develop the supporting evidence needed to process a claim on your behalf. As always, there are no attorney fees or costs unless we recover financial compensation for you.
Wrongful Death
Losing a loved one in an accident is always tragic. When that accident was caused by another's carelessness,
recklessness or negligence, such a personal loss can seem unbearable. If you have lost a loved one due to such
an accident, please accept our sincere condolences on your loss.
A wrongful death can occur from a variety of events ranging from vehicle accidents to the use of unsafe products. It can be the act of a single person or of a corporation. The consequences and suffering from a wrongful death fall upon the survivors, including the spouse, parents, children and others who are emotionally and financially burdened by the loss of their loved one. Every wrongful death case is unique and the persons who may have a claim, as well as the compensation that may be recovered, must be determined on a case by case basis. Recovery can include both economic and non-economic losses that have been suffered.
If your family has suffered such a tragedy, we are here to help. At Carl Reynolds Law we will investigate the circumstances of the wrongful death and determine all the responsible parties involved. We will then pursue the full compensation and reimbursement you are entitled to for your loss. And, as always, there are no attorney fees or costs unless we recover financial compensation for you.
Dog Bite / Animal Attack
Dog and other animal attacks occur frequently in Florida and throughout the country. The most common form of
animal attack involves dog bites. Most dog bite injury victims are children, although anyone can be a victim
of a vicious dog attack. Such attacks can cause both significant physical and emotional injury, with some
even resulting in the victim's death.
Florida law is clear that dog owners are liable for the damages their pets cause. If you were in a public place or legally on the dog owner's property when the attack occurred, you are entitled to receive damages for your losses.
If you or a member of your family has been injured in an animal attack, you have a right to recover financial compensation for your medical bills, pain and suffering, lost income or wages, and more. Contact Carl Reynolds Law to review your case. We will do the investigation necessary to hold negligent parties accountable. As always, there are no attorney fees or costs unless we recover financial compensation for you.
Motorcyle Accidents
Motorcycle accidents almost always result in serious injuries. These injuries often require extensive
medical treatment, surgeries and physical therapy. Wage loss, mounting medical bills and future
rehabilitation costs can be overwhelming.
Motorcycle accidents differ from auto accidents in that motorcyclists are not required to carry PIP (personal injury protection) insurance. In fact, PIP coverage is not generally sold to motorcyclists.
If you or a family member has been injured in a motorcylce accident, or if a family member has died as a result of such an accident, you may be able to recover financial compensation for the damages you have suffered. Contact Carl Reynolds Law immediately. We can assist you in determining your legal rights and in getting you the medical attention you may need, and we will seek justice for you by holding negligent parties accountable.
